Our greatest lake, Lake Superior, is near and dear to me, so this book caught my attention.
Biggest takeaways: Building the St. Lawrence Seaway was a huge, wasteful, serious mistake. Invasive species are catastrophic to ecosystems and water quality.
More needs to be done to stop and correct the effects of these mistakes and prevent their continuation... better policies needed for restoration and preservation of our most precious resource.
