I kindof loved this story. I appreciate intelligent, socially awkward, and slightly flawed characters. Eleanor Oliphant reminded me a little of a female Don Tillman (Rosie Project). The story was both hilarious and heartbreaking, and ultimately very hopeful. This book offers memorable characters, fantastic vocabulary, and beautiful human lessons. I really liked it.

This was an interesting read. You find out early that the title character is a loner and very odd. And kind of annoying. But as the story progresses you learn more about her, and find yourself rooting for her. Very interesting how the author provides tidbits of her past at various moments.

Yup, read it in a day. It felt like a privilege, following this character as she moved through this story. Also, she is VERY funny.

A hilarious, thoughtful, read - it has been a long time since I have loved a character as much as Eleanor Oliphant! Wonderful storytelling with relatable and mostly likable characters.
