3.5 stars A good retelling of the story of the Beauty and the Beast. I got really into it towards the end. A steamy romance in a ferocious magical world in which a fierce beauty meets a tormented beast. Definitely a read if you like retellings.

Even though it took off at the end, they were only 50 pages of something that can be called "action". I feel like the story wrapped up too conviniently, too easily. The main protagonist made me rolled me eyes every two pages. It wasn't the book for me. Too tacky

TBH, the only thought I came out with is how I don't know how I ever loved Tamlin more than Rhys.

So, this book blew me away. I didn't expect as much as I had from the Throne of Glass, because there was a lot of hype around that book, and I kind of didn't like it as much as I expected to.
But this book.
THIS BOOK.
Feyra is now my new favourite name, Tamlin is still bae, and I have literally no words.

2 stars. I started off the first 200 pages I couldn't stand feyre!!! She was stupid and annoying and I wanted to punch her. I find her characters much the same. I'm not a fan of the writing.Then the second part of the book got a lot better. I enjoyed the last part a lot. It was action pact and had some good twists. I liked this a lot more then throne of glass. But her female characters always annoy me. The ending to this was a good ending. I may continue with this series ...more

I loved it. Everything that happened in this book was so beautifully written and the story was just what I expected from a beauty and the beast retelling. I loved this book with all my heart. A great way of starting my reading year. I just hope bothing wrong happen in the second book because getting to know SJM writting with TOG makes me feel a little bit uneasy with this one.

this book was so amazing and I loved but it didn't feel like giving five stars. It took me a while to really get into the story but still I loved it. despite the things I found in common with Shatter me. Rhysand is my fucking boyfriend, like I am in love with him.
