This was amazing! I was so excited about this book and the hype did not let me down!

The characters in this were fantastic! I think I may even love Emma and Julian more than Clary and Jace! And the rest of the Blackthorn family are adorable.

I loved the story! Even though I was enjoying it, I did think that the book started off slow and didn't really pick up until about halfway through. And in typical Cassandra Clare style, there were plot twists I never saw coming and an ending that destroyed m ...more

This book was such a rollercoaster, I loved all of the characters and how detailed and complex they were and the majority of this book was brilliant. *Possible spoilers ahead*
The ending was unnecessarily harsh, Emma has made a decision which won't really fix anything but break a lot of hearts. I cannot believe this book took me 2 months to read! I did have a lot going on that meant I had no time to pick up a physical book and read. Still, I'm annoyed because it shouldn't have taken me that long to finish it.

Once I got into the story, I was really enjoying the book. This would probably have to be the best first book out of all of the separate Shadowhunters series. Cassie Clare's writing has improved so much from TMI and TID. Also, story wise, I remember TDA being my favourite Shadowhu ...more

if i could i would give this book a million stars, not just 5.
with no exageration this by far is the best book i have ever read in my whole life, i love all Cassandra Clare books but this one is just so special, so amazing, just perfect.
i keep being fascinated by the stories Cassandra created, all related in a way that is so mind blowing, through previous books we all loved the Parabatai bond, seing Jace and Alec in TMI and Will and Jem in TID , this books shows that relation between parabatai, ...more

Damn I hate that ending but this book was so, so good! I love Emma and Julian and the entire Blackthorn family. I both love and hate Cassandra Clare for how she messes with my emotions. I’m definitely glad I made the decision to re-read this because I’d forgotten so much that happens!

Me tomó tiempo terminar el libro por motivos de tiempo. Sin embargo, siento que lo disfruté mucho más. No es un libro perfecto, pero como novela introductoria a esta nueva trilogía funciona muy bien.
