I was hoping I'd like this as much as Fan-girl, but unfortunately it didn't live up to that expectation. Though for published fan fiction I can't say I expected much more (even when published by the author).

Some of the things in this book are pretty good. For example, the friendship and love type interests were written reasonably well. Then it started to fall apart.

Finished for the C word of my name even though it has a J instead of a C

I actually can't say I loved this book. I felt like this was really really slow and there were some characters *coughes* Agatha *coughes* that really got to my nerves. Anyways I really loved Penelope and this book was worth reading.

About the love story... I didn't actually felt like Simon loved Baz from the begining, I felt like his love for him came out of nowhere and all of a sudden. ...more

Most of the book was amazing! But the ending really disappointed me. I didn't really follow along because everything was really rushed.

Also the love story was too rushed. That's why I really disliked Eleanor and Park too.

I still overall enjoyed this book a lot and I'm glad I finally read it!!! :) ...more

First off. If this started off as a Harry Potter fan fiction, it has moved far beyond that.

You don't HAVE to read Fangirl to be able to enjoy this book. However, if you haven't read Fangirl, but still plan on reading it, I would read it before you read Carry On. You get a feel for the characters and the world that personally really helped in my enjoyment of this book.

In the beginning you kind of feel like you've grabbed a book in the middle of a series. I believe that is the way it is supposed ...more
