What Members Thought
This story and these characters made me unbelievably happy. They also made me sad but it's okay because I loved that too. In fact, I loved that so much that I'm not going to leave my bed until I get the sequel because life's not worth living if I don't get to know what happens to my precious children.

Loved it more this time ^_^ mood reader lol
I'm a bit late to the Raven Boys party as many people have raved about this book and how great it is. I quite enjoyed this book, I found it quite interesting and there were so many different elements included in it. There was like the tiniest bit of romance which I quite liked as I think a lot of the books I read are just full of romance and happy endings, but this is different as one of our main characters, Blue, will kill her true love if she kisses him (not a secret, it's on the back). 4.5! Okay. wow. I promised myself I'd finish this novel by tonight, sick or not , anyway I'd be lying down.
This story was a Rollercoaster ride made of interesting characters but at times confusing plot turns. I thought one thing would happen and then something else would. I don't know if my confusion is due to the fact that I put the book down for two and a half weeks before picking it back up but some parts made me feel lost. So glad I enjoyed this!
I have very mixed feelings about this book. The premise of this book sounded amazing, and I've never read anything like this before, so I was really excited to read it. However, I was a little let down. First of all, this book took FOREVER for me to get into. The first 200 pages were really boring, in my opinion. Hm. So, I think I have a weird thing about not loving super hyped-up books the way that everyone else always does. For some reason, I feel like I never like them as much as everyone else. I thought this book was fine. The characters were all pretty fleshed out and had their own background stories, and they had well-developed personalities. This book was really confusing until I got to know the characters and really understand the plot line (about 1/4 in). After that it was pretty decent and I've heard the series gets better! I'll be continuing on.

OK, SO THIS BOOK.
The beginning was a bit all over the place for me, but about half way through, things starting clicking together nicely, and when I finished the last page, I raged for about 10 minutes about not having the second book, because I MUST READ IT.
It's hard to explain what this book is about, but I think that's a good thing. Just know that if you aren't convinced initially, I wasn't either, please keep reading. ...more
