03/15/16 5 STARS - I just love/adore this book. Now it's finally on to Dream Thieves.

11/21/14 Wow, wow, wow.

I've been curious about this book for awhile, and of course Tumblr stirred the interest. I've read Shiver and wasn't that impressed with it, but I did enjoy The Scorpio Races, so I was willing to give this writer another chance. I took my sweet time with this book not because it didn't hold my interest, but for the reason I just didn't want the book to end. The characters are awesome. Magg

4.75 stars I reckon. Maggie has progressed well since Shiver!

This book really did suprise me.

At first I wasn't certain that the plot made any sense and the dialogue seemed...oddly vague, like the characters spoke almost unconventially, as if they chose a more difficult way to say things than necessary. I know it sounds strange.

The characters were so well fleshed out with all their habits and mannerisms that it was amazing and almost too much. I find myself dropping details about them but I lov

Hm. So, I think I have a weird thing about not loving super hyped-up books the way that everyone else always does. For some reason, I feel like I never like them as much as everyone else. I thought this book was fine. The characters were all pretty fleshed out and had their own background stories, and they had well-developed personalities. I thought the premise of psychics and ley lines and all was interesting, but it just failed the really grab my attention. I thought the first 30% or so was bo ...more

This book was really confusing until I got to know the characters and really understand the plot line (about 1/4 in). After that it was pretty decent and I've heard the series gets better! I'll be continuing on. ...more

That was absolutely not what I expected, somehow I never read a synopsis of this book but only heard that it is really good. And I surely wasn't disappointed. The story and the writing are amazing! It was a little slow in the beginning and having different points of view was a little strange but than I just immersed in it and couldn't stop reading. Wonderful characters, interesting idea of the ley lines which I've never heard before and that kind of magical realism I really like. I hope it gets ...more

OK, SO THIS BOOK.

The beginning was a bit all over the place for me, but about half way through, things starting clicking together nicely, and when I finished the last page, I raged for about 10 minutes about not having the second book, because I MUST READ IT.

It's hard to explain what this book is about, but I think that's a good thing. Just know that if you aren't convinced initially, I wasn't either, please keep reading.

4.5 probably

An awesome and interesting story line, and I loved the characters and the development and relationships between them. I liked that Blue and Gansy weren't all 'in love' straight away, it's just more exciting this way.
