Wow that book was so so beautiful. It made me so sad but also had me smiling. I read it so quick, it was hard to put down. This story is about family, friendships and growing up. I loved Ari. I loved hearing his thoughts and seeing what he wrote in his journal. And I loved him even more when he was with Dante. Ari really needed a friend liked Dante. This book probably just wasn't for me. I'm giving it 4 stars because it is objectively a great book but I didn't enjoy it a great deal, probably because I'm a very plot orientated reader and this book is very much character driven. Loved the writing and I enjoyed Dante as a character. The way the story ended was a little problematic and kind of unbelievable for my own personal tastes but it was still a good book.
