What Members Thought
I read this book first in Jan'16 and now I reread it in audiobook form in July'16. This is my favorite book of all time now. Yes, it reached that point. Seriously everything is so well crafted and so well written. The only two words I wrote when I finished for the first time were "I'm speechless", bc seriously that's exactly how I feel about this book. I love it so much, I can't find words to express it.

Benjamin Alire Sáenz is one of the rare authors whose books I've read who can accomplish an "uprising" of emotions using a simple, straightforward language. His writing style is a statement that made me think that it's not always necessary to use "big" words to express the deepest, "complicated" emotions. I particularly loved the dialogues between the characters, cause they bid me welcome into their world. I found them witty, simple, but at the same time incredibly insightful.

I sped right through this baby and what a fun ride it was.
this book was very well written. I adored the quotes in this book. I loved how this was more character based also how the timing was stretched out. Aristotle and Dante were such loving characters. I loved their relationship. This was a stunning book. I really do recommend this one.

Love, love, love. Every single letter inside this novel is filled with beauty.

i was expecting GREATNESS. the amount of awards this book has won, the amount of people who have hyped it to be beautiful and incredible. and.... it's not.
i really wanted to like this, i did, but i just couldn't. i was always bored, always un-entertained. and the dialogue, oh the dialogue, it's atrocious. dante and ari are two interesting characters, but their conversations are so... unrealistic. they'll talk, then someone will say a sentence to finish the conversation, and say the last wo ...more
