I loved this book just as much as when I read it the first time! It had everything that I love in a fantasy: hidden magic, a historical setting and warring kingdoms. The writing was great and the plot was so engaging and definitely kept me hooked! For a YA series I certainly wasn’t expecting quite the degree of death and murder! Already one character whom I got attached to was killed off!

Took me a long time to get through it. But I enjoyed this, there was action, there was love, there was betrayal. Pure perfection
i'm not sure if i really like it or if it's just another good/okay fantasy book i own..
