Back with fourteen more sets of fairy-tale related reverso poems, the poet offers readers new spins on those often-told stories that are so foundational to our culture today. Following her Mirror Mirror book, Follow, Follow includes poems from famous fairy tales and Aesops. Both poems appear on the same page written begging to end, the reversing the order to create a new poem with an entirely different meaning. This book would be helpful in demonstrating word order and use of punctuation marks to express meaning.

Clever fairy-tale based poems are presented forwards and backwards giving readers multiple perspectives. Acrylic illustrations add vibrant two-sided views of the characters and action in each set of poems.

Recommended for grades 3-5.

A collection of poems based on fairy tales that change their meaning when read in reverse (with changes only in capitalization or punctuation.)

If my classes that visit study poetry or fairy tales this would be a great introduction.

What am amazing skill - poetry to me is so hard to write and then when you see what Marilyn Singer does with her Reverso poems - just amazing. I may love these more than the first book and I loved those a lot.

Love the changes in point of view here, this has great potential in the classroom. Some poems work better than others, but they are all fun.

The work and time it must take to create these reverse poems kind of boggles my mind.
