This was a very good book. Of course I loved Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, so I had to pick this one up too.
Grace Lin did not disappoint, however if I had to choose I think Where the Mountain Meets the Moon was better. This book was still wonderful. I always enjoy Chinese folklore and that is what draws me to these books.

This was really more of a three-star than a four for me, because while I was mildly charmed, I just wasn't feeling it. But I recognize it as being very well-written, and oh, such a beautiful book.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as Where the Mountain Meets the Moon. I do, however, love the author's style.
