This one's difficult to write about b/c while I didn't love it, I loved a lot about it and, by the end, I was immersed emotionally. It was an interesting journey for me. I read with my ears and Kate Rudd's narration was pitch perfect. Maybe too perfect b/c I became so irritated with some of the dynamics that I actually sighed and said, "Enough already!"

Have a Kleenex handy! This is a truly wonderful novel about all members of a family, not just Fern, although it is told from her perspective. I feel like I'm a part of their family after reading this novel. I can't wait to give this to my students to read!
