Gave up after reading just over a third of this anthology of very early stories. Gave Up! I don't give up reading easily and I've never given up on a Charles de Lint book; he's one of my favorite writers, but this just wasn't working for me. The problem is that de Lint’s earliest stories were pastiches of Tolkien, Dunsanay and others. I usually love de Lint’s work, but this collection did nothing for me.
