A fairly run-of-the-mill thriller. Reminded me a little of Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said, except less thoughtful and engrossing. At least with that one, the reader also does not know the state of things, so there's less frustration in waiting for the main character to realise what is happening to him. There were some nifty bits, especially the final climax, which I bet is going to be great fun in the upcoming TV show adaptation.

I am very ambivalent about Dark Matter. At time I was really caught up in the story and at other times I found parts to be slow and not really that important to the keeping the story moving. I listed to this as an audio book so I could not skim through the boring parts. Jason was an interesting character and the plot was different from any other I have read.
