The Humans is a really interesting book about an alien that comes to earth to get rid of a mathematician and his research because it would advance the human race too much.
In the beginning, the alien, disguised as Professor Andrew Martin, is disgusted with humans: their looks, their food, their history, and their family habits. But he finds that Martin's dog likes him and loves to follow him around. He also discovers he loves peanut butter on toast.
