I think it is now when everything turns full circle when Futurama takes so much from sff literature, now it's time for sff literature to take one from Futurama. This felt a lot like the episode of the show with cats.

Really, I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would. There was a good mix of action, humor, social commentary, mystery, and romance. I found that reading Clark’s short fiction set in the same world first gave me a foundation for understanding the basics of this world and its inhabitants, so I didn’t feel overwhelmed with trying to figure it all out at the beginning of this book and could concentrate on the mystery involving the murders instead.
