I really liked the idea of this book, but somehow it felt like it dragged. I wasn't particularly captured by any of the characters, and I didn't feel drawn back to the book when I set it down. It was just too easy to leave alone for it to be four stars. Still, I did enjoy parts of it, so 3 stars it is.

I'll probably read the next book, but it likely won't be anytime in the near future.

What could be better than a book about books? This book seems to capture my love of reading in its pages. It's one of those books I can always come back to, and it will always have me putting off everything else in life in order to read it. ...more

I am always on the lookout for good fantasy novels from original authors even if they are juveniles.

This was a good read but maybe its better for the younger set.
