Fabulous book. Well paced, wonderfully full characters, and a very unusual plot line. A young girl discovers her father has the ability to read characters out of books and read people into them. However, he has no control over who he reads in and out. So several purely evil characters from a book try to control him and all copies of the book they are from. I really liked the idea of this book, but somehow it felt like it dragged. I wasn't particularly captured by any of the characters, and I didn't feel drawn back to the book when I set it down. It was just too easy to leave alone for it to be four stars. Still, I did enjoy parts of it, so 3 stars it is.

What could be better than a book about books? This book seems to capture my love of reading in its pages. It's one of those books I can always come back to, and it will always have me putting off everything else in life in order to read it.
