I've read this book about 10 times and still really enjoy reading it.
Heinlein's opinion of religion as espoused by Jubal Harshaw always fascintes me. I was not as affected in my 50's as I was in my teens, but being a doubting christian has been a part of my life for a long time now.
Valentine Michael Smith is an interesting character who looks at earth and it's society with an outsider's viewpoint after being raised on Mars by Martians. Because of his background, he has powers that normal humans ...more
