What Members Thought

Wow, I just really loved this book, A. and Rhiannon, and the many other people A is each day. But I was also very sad, because when A falls in love with Rhiannon, you want everything to be possible for them, like their first day together when they spend the day at the ocean. Even though it may seem fantastical that A. isn't a person, but someone who becomes another person for just 24 hours. Levithan's A. is sympathetic, has had to get used to something he cannot control since he was born...wakin

What if you woke up every single day of your life in another person's body? In many ways that might sound appealing and in many ways, it worked for the narrator, who called him/herself simply 'A.' All goes well until A falls in love with Rhiannon.
Full of glimpses into the lives of various teens and their families, A is an astute observer and teens will recognize some of the people he comes across and will sympathize with his romantic dilemma.

One of the most original books I've ever read. The conceit is that every day the main character, A, wakes up in a different body within the same 50-100 mile radius. The bodies are the same age as him/her, and A's primary goal is to avoid causing waves in that person's life. Naturally, A meets someone that makes him/her change their mind. I don't want to say much more, but I loved this book so much that I actually avoided reading the sequel which recounts the story from another character's perspe

Very interesting idea. I'm curious to see where the author takes it from here. I was trying to imagine this as a movie but I think the casting budget would be crazy!

loved the premise of the book; intriguing to look at people/life from a single day's perspective. It's not like Groundhog day or Quantum leap - staying til you get/do something right. In some ways it's very sad way to live. Great idea!

Several complaints here. The narrator does not under any circumstances sound like a 16 year old. I recognize that there are ways to explain this away... but no. Also - again, probably by the very nature of the plotline - I found this really hard to read, since only one single part of the story is told linearly. This book has good intentions but I made it about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through before getting frustrated and giving up.
