This book was another theme read for the month of October. I’ve heard so many positive things about it, so I wanted to check it out. I really liked it. The story itself was very well written, although it did take a while for the peculiars to show up. The characters are all so amazingly written. I loved them all, even the bad ones. Recommended to me by a friend, I flipped through it and put it off.
Finally read it and was actually pleasantly surprised! Really enjoyed it, story flowed well and at times I was glued to it

I really enjoyed this book and the blend of pictures that enhanced the visual aspects of my imagination. This pictures are really great especially when you are trying to get the feel of a character.
I like the idea that there is the possibility that there can be different people out the with different abilities. I can't wait to start the next novel in the trilogy. Highly recommended. ...more

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children fails to keep up with the initial intrigue it inspires. It takes way too long to get going, and once it does, it slows down again. It is full of starts and stops. The story just skims the surface of its potential. There were so many opportunities for growth that were ignored. The reveals were unimpressive and the characters were bland. Despite the cover and the photographs, there is no horror, creep, or fear to this book. It reminded of my first chapte
