Dare I say that I really, really loved this book...almost like I love "The Fault in our Stars"? Though I was at first put off by the language, as soon as I met Eleanor, I felt connected to this story. Entertaining, romantic, and heartbreakingly wonderful. Eleanor and Park was a book that induced side-splitting laughter, smile inducing sarcasm and tear jerking moments of absolute happiness or devastating abuse. She brings to life various social issues that many people have to deal with and aren’t often included in novels, especially all at once (even though they represent the reality for many), such as poverty, domestic abuse and racism. Rowell proves herself a ...more

Ugh. Interesting at the start, boring and repetitive in the middle, and annoying at the end. Why does this book get all the great reviews? Don't waste your time. ...more
