So this book. It was the beginning of all the books with titles consisting of boy and girl names divided by an ampersand. I also figure (with no evidence) that it must be the best. Elanor & Park feels different. There are real stakes. Danger and fear lurk around the otherwise joyful soul of the book. It's been a while since I read a book about teens that made me remember what it was like to be a teen and fall in love for the first time. Even though it's a sad story, the book managed to take me back almost 15 years in time and feel exactly like Eleanor and Park for most of the reading. (view spoiler)
