Though I wasn't sure when I started it (thought it was just another book about accepting your sexuality), I loved this book and became very invested in the characters.
The book is told from two perspectives: Noah at age 14 (from the past leading up to 'it') and Jude at age 16 (after 'it' has happened). They are twins, and for a long time, you are not sure what 'it' is---and it wasn't predictable until near the end...and then I *had* to know how it would turn out.

I JUST LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH. As a former Art History minor, I was just giddy with the inclusion of art throughout. My only complaint is I wanted more Noah at the end. I love that boy. I love his incredibly strange, overwhelming, beautiful way of seeing the world. It was like I too was seeing the world in a new way when I read his parts. LET'S REMAKE THE WORLD is right--this book, and Noah especially, made me feel like the world was in fact this OTHER-worldly beautiful thing full of beautiful p

WOW. I really enjoyed this. Though it took me a little while to get into the storyline, the characters hooked me right away. Both Noah and Jude are so interesting and their voices are so unique and fresh! This is a book with a lot of emotional struggle, something Nelson does expertly. Everything felt very genuine, honest and heart-felt in nature. With that said--and I may be saying this because I'm an out-of-touch mom--I found their feelings/actions would have made more sense if they were both a

This is probably my seventh time trying to formulate a cohesive and coherent thought regarding this book.
I have been blown away into a new dimension and I don't want to find my way out.
I'll Give You the Sun is a book that deserves to be read. It deserves more attention that it has gotten so far and all the attention that it will get in the future. It is an important book and it means something, which is more than I can say for a lot of books that I've read in the past.

Just reread this book and it’s as beautiful and well-crafted this time as it was 4 years ago when I first read it. This is such a gorgeous story and so well-told! Love, love love!

It made me cry. Books don't do that to me often. Beautiful.
