3.5 FRENCH CANADIAN STARS
"Is this the part where you make love to me since we’ve now professed our deep feelings?”
I look to the bed and then back to her. “No,” I drawl out. “I’m still going to fuck you. But I’m going to do it while being deeply in love with you.”
Honestly, this book I've been dying to read for a while.
It's because of these two factors:
1- Hockey! I'm Canadian this is our national sport, so yeah I'm down!
2- Max Fournier a Twenty-seven years old and born in Montreal. He’s bilingua ...more

I'm in love with this book! This was a wonderfully sweet, romantic story. If you need a low angst read that's full of sweetness, this is the book for you!
Max is a famous hockey player that swooped in and swept Jules off her feet. The fact that he wasn't deterred by her having custody of her 3 niece and nephews made him that much more attractive. I loved the approach the author took with this couple. They talked things out like mature adults instead of the usual messy misunderstandings. Max wasn ...more

I read this about a month ago and was not inspired to write a review. It was cute and sweet, but nothing earth shattering. I do VERY much appreciate "safe" books, but I still need something more. Some heat, or a little drama or just something. I kept waiting for something to happen in this book but nothing ever did. I felt like I could have this on audio in the background and not pay attention to it. But I like this author and I am looking forward to trying the next one in the series.

This one started out great with a super sweet H, and an awesome take on a Cinderella storyline, which I normally would love but sadly it became too wordy and tedious to read and also a bit predictable and boring, which was super disappointing as I really wanted to love this one. The relationship seemed to move too fast as well and the story needed more fleshing out to be believable. Don't think I'm going to read any more from this series I'm sorry to say. The books I've read just haven't cut the

***ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was an easy, lay out in the sun under the umbrella, have a cold something, kind of read. A little bit of a Cinderella twist with a hot, rich, successful athlete, Max, who falls for a struggling, taking in her dead sister's 3 young children h, Jules. Really, how can you go wrong with a hot hockey player who speaks English and French.

3.25 stars. This was just an okay read for me. This is Max and Jules book. Max is a hockey star who meets Jules one night in the convenience store where she works. Jules' sister recently died, leaving her three children in Jules' care. She is now working two jobs and caring for the children, running herself ragged and has no life to herself anymore. Max is interested in her right away, but Jules' resists his advances because she has no time to date. But Max is persistent and Jules does feel the

I love Sawyer Bennett and I love this series. Max is probably the best hero yet. Max Is the goalie and generally a nice guy...not a total manwhore like most of sports romance genres portray the hero.
Julianne Is trying to make ends meet, and a chance meeting with Max inserts him into her world.
I would consider this book low angst, although Julianne does get the nerves a bit here and there, in the end you get your Alpha HEA.

Max is sweet enough to raise your blood sugar, yet hot enough to melt your panties! Infuriating book boyfriends are fun. Makes for some good angst and feels. But every now and then sometimes you just want one that is so freaking perfect you just can't believe it. THIS is Max! Seriously, the guy has no flaws! So if you are looking for the perfect, swoon worthy book boyfriend, go ahead and one-click this one!
