The ice is a cold mistress. As the league’s most eligible goalie, Max Fournier has access to his fair share of willing puck bunnies, but right now he’s more interested in bringing home another championship than a one-night stand. A romantic at heart, Max believes in love; he’s just not great at relationships. So when he finally meets a nice girl who’s not blinded by his ce ...more

“I adore you, Jules. And I know I’ll adore you even more tomorrow, and more the day after that.”

I can’t stop smiling!!!!!! This was such a gorgeous, SWOOOOOOOOONY book! The hero was a famous hockey player who fell head over heels in love with a normal girl. She was raising three young kids alone and he swept into her life and fell for all of them!! This was a perfectly balanced romance novel from start to finish. It had the SWOON, it brought the HEAT,

Sawyer’s Cold Fury series is one of those series with the sweetest heroes and the best heroines. I love this hockey team! They truly are a family and all the characters are great. I was excited to get the goalie of Cold Fury, Max Fournier’s book. Let me tell you a little something about Max… Max really is a one-in-a-million type of guy! Max is single and not really looking for anyone, but then he meets Jules. Their story really is a Cinderella type tale!

Jules works full time as

And normally I do LOVE this author. But this one just fell flat for me. It was too dang sweet. Now my husband is actually a very sweet man. Let's face it. The man is a saint for putting up with me on a daily basis.

Max Fournier is the league's most eligible bachelor and the starting goalie for the Cold Fury hockey team. Max is a romantic at heart, and meaningless sex holds no appeal for him. When he lays eyes on the beautiful Julianne Bradley, Max knows she is something special.

Julianne Bradley is working two jobs to take care of her niece and nephews. She doesn't have time for sleep, let alone a 6´5 famous goalie. But Max isn't about to give up and soon he holds Jule's heart right in his goalie mit. But

I read this back in September 2016 and gave all of you a sneak peek of how I felt about this book...Well, NOTHING has changed. MAX is my favorite of this series and it is due to the low drama factor...little angst and just plain swoon worthy guy.

Max see what he wants, feels it is right and goes balls to the wall to get it...Ego, possible hurt feelings be damned. He has found the one for him, loves who she is, cares about what she cares

Holy sweetness, Batman! Max seriously has the cute thing down. He was so gentle with Jules and adorable with her niece and nephews I'm pretty sure my ovaries burst into flames. I just couldn't get enough of him and how different he was from the typical playboy Hero. Do I usually love a bad boy Hero that sometimes sleeps around before meeting the heroine? Sure! The life Jules is living is not what she imagined in the prime of her life. Her day is filled with work and taking care of 3 kids that are not her own but loves as if they were hers. One of her biggest challenges is to juggle all aspects of her life without dropping a ball. She works two jobs to make ends meet. Cutting time out for herself doesn't even enter her mind. One day, when her babysitter canceled on her she has to take the kids to

MAX is the sixth book in the Cold Fury series. This book runs parallel with the previous book, Hawke. You get a little bit more of Hawke’s story while we read about Max & Jules love story.

Jules background has the Cold Fury hockey fans wondering if she’s a gold digger or a cinderella story. After the fans find out that Jules is the sole caretaker for her 2 nephews and niece because her sister has passed away the fans question her intentions with their belo

I liked that i learned more about Max Fournier and to be honest i wasn't expecting him to be such a wonderful guy!!!! He was almost like a dream that came true!!!

But to be totally honest with you, the last two books in the series weren't so great as the first four... I think i need something more to blow up my mind!!! Mayb

Max is the sixth book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. Max is a standalone and each book is about a hockey player on the team. THIS IS MY FAVORITE book in the series. I absolutely loved this one. I’m a sucker… wait for it… for a single mama book!

Ladies and, um... ladies, let’s hear it for Max Fournier. Starting goalie for The Cold Fury and possibly the most swoon-worthy of the team.

Fresh off an injury and ready to show that he’s back and ready to play the best hockey of his life, Max wasn’t expecting to find a distraction like he did when he wondered into the convenience store for a snack. But that is just what Max found when he spots Julianne “Jules” behind the counter dealing with a few bad seeds. But it isn’t until he gets a closer l

The Cold Fury series by Sawyer Bennett is one of my favorite series. I love these guys so much and hope that we continue to get more books featuring new players.

Max is the starting goalie for the Carolina Fury, so newer to the series, but I quickly fell in love with this down to earth, selfless guy. He meets our heroine while she is working at a convenient store. He thinks Julianne is beautiful and is about to ask her out when three little children spill out of the breakroom. Not sure what to e

Sawyer Bennett is a versatile writer and she does a wonderful job showcasing her lighthearted romance skills with Max. This book has two major things going for it as far as I’m concerned.

First of all, it’s a single parent romance, which always makes me feel mushy. The single mother in this case, Jules, is actually the unexpected legal guardian of her sister’s three young children.

The second perk is it’s a sports romance. I’m not much of a sports fan, but for some reason I’m incredibly

2.5/3 (ish) It was all so... sweet.

Don't get me wrong, I like sweet and cute and cuddly, but here I was, waiting for my badass hockey player, and I get this.
Max was a damn good guy, perfect in every way, the kind of prince charming that every girl wants.

But I don't want that in my books! Yes, I like sweet sometimes, but not on every damn page!
It was literally like a sugar overload.

It was ok, as a whole, and there were stuff that I enjoyed, but it was a bit mediocre, I expected more from this a

Max Fournier... *happy sigh* the man who has put this series back on track for me.

I made no secret of my disappointment in Ryker and Hawke; in comparison to the earlier books in the Cold Fury series they failed to hit the mark, and for that reason, Max was the make-or-break man for me. I'm so glad he was the maker because I really didn't want to part ways with the team; Sawyer Bennett has the capability to create a couple to adore and this was very much the case with Max and Jules.

And this time we have goalie Max. He's finally back in fighting form after being injured for what feels like forever. He has to fight for his place on the team. That's why now is not really the time to fall for a girl. And not just a girl on her own. If he's really doing this with Jules, he also has to fall for her three kids! The kids she inherited from her sister.

I loved this book! This book is my favorite book in the Cold Fury series that I have read by a lot. I was completely swept away by this wonderful little story and didn't want it to end. I liked the beginning of the book but then I became bored. Max was great all the way through and was a great hero...

NOT an asshole like Zack with commitment issues

NOT a complete f'd up mess like Hawke (I'm fairly certain I hated the guy....)

Another great Cold Fury novel. We briefly see Max way back in the first books and he's injured making way for Ryker. Now Ryker has retired, and Max is healthy. This book takes place at the same time as Hawke's, so we get to see Hawke and Vale. Plus there's tons of the rest of the Cold Fury crew. Jules has no idea who Max is when they meet, and he loves that. Jules is head strong and determined to do it her way, but Max steps in and helps her. The whole drama with the kid's
