I know I say this about every Cold Fury book I read but this time I mean it; Max was absolutely my favourite Cold Fury man ever. And this book was the best to date.
I really love this series. It has to be one of the best sports romance series going and I think it’s because it generally lacks all of the usual sports romance clichés. I tried but this will just be a dnf I couldn't connect to anything. Not the story or the characters. I think I skimmed more than I read. I am not even interested in giving it another try. I really thought I would enjoy this but from the beginning I just didn't feel anything. It made my head hurt.

I love Sawyer Bennett and I love this series. Max is probably the best hero yet. Max Is the goalie and generally a nice guy...not a total manwhore like most of sports romance genres portray the hero.
Julianne Is trying to make ends meet, and a chance meeting with Max inserts him into her world.
I would consider this book low angst, although Julianne does get the nerves a bit here and there, in the end you get your Alpha HEA.
