I really enjoyed this book! I was surprised by the attention to the mental health that we get in here, I really think that the author did a superb job with it all. Especially for the repercussions on other people. I appreciated this part a lot.
And I am also so glad to see some good family dynamics, even if we have some painful situations here, and I was so sorry for the characters because they all are such good people! I loved Emma and Justin, I loved Maddy, and I loved Justin's siblings and fr

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

I was on the fence with this one because I didn’t like it as much as some of her other books. However, it really made think that wasn’t being fair because honestly, I still loved the book. She creates the best characters. It’s impossible not to love them. I just kept thinking ‘I hope she writes a book for Maddie…I hope she writes a book for Maddie’. Well…she screwed me there (view spoiler)

This is my first Abby Jimenez book and I am shocked, confused and disappointed. I cannot fathom why this book is so highly rated and so widely loved. It does not compute. To say this book features some of the worst writing I have read in a while is generous. Extremely lackluster, emotionless and bland, no prose, no writing style is even featured, it reads mostly like a screen play. 100 pages in and it gave me absolutely nothing. Its written in 1st person but that somehow still affords us no insi ...more

Actual Rating: 3.5 stars.

A very nice love story, I enjoyed it.

This is the third Abby Jimenez book I read, and she seems like a solid writer to come back to for a cozy and light entertaining romance.

I've enjoyed Abby Jimenez's books since her debut with The Friend Zone, but this is the best one yet. Although the story starts out seeming like it will be about the fact that Justin and Emma are in a similar situation (in which the people they date find their soulmates after breaking up with each of them), it's really a much deeper story.

Both Justin and Emma have been through A LOT. Emma's emotional baggage is much heavier than Justin's, but is portrayed in such a realistic way that she seems
