I really enjoyed this book! I was surprised by the attention to the mental health that we get in here, I really think that the author did a superb job with it all. Especially for the repercussions on other people. I appreciated this part a lot.

This is my first Abby Jimenez book and I am shocked, confused and disappointed. I cannot fathom why this book is so highly rated and so widely loved. It does not compute. To say this book features some of the worst writing I have read in a while is generous. Extremely lackluster, emotionless and bland, no prose, no writing style is even featured, it reads mostly like a screen play. 100 pages in and it gave me absolutely nothing. A very nice love story, I enjoyed it.
This is the third Abby Jimenez book I read, and she seems like a solid writer to come back to for a cozy and light entertaining romance.

This is the third Abby Jimenez book I read, and she seems like a solid writer to come back to for a cozy and light entertaining romance.
Is this my first Jimenez book? Yes. Did I read it all in one day? Yes. Did not reading the others in the series first affect my experience? Not at all.
Normally I'm a stickler for reading series in order, even contemporary companion series, but I went into this without reading the others as my friend said it didn't matter. And she was right. This was just catnip for my soul and has definitely got me hooked onto Jimenez. Good thing I have the rest of her books on my shelf!
