When Among Crows was a very unique read. I loved the folklore aspect of it as well as the fantasy elements. This was set in modern day Chicago which added to the story as well. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed it. I liked both of the narrators, but enjoyed the female voice a little more than the male one. Overall though it was a good audiobook and a quick read. If you’ve enjoyed Veronica Roth’s books before, definitely check out this short story.

* About 15 pages in* To start, this is a confusing book to get into initially. There are a lot of words I did not understand and they don't really stop to explain it to you. It is full of folklore and mythology so that is to be expected but so far it is interesting but confusing. It feels like high fantasy so that makes sense that the world building and introduction would be hard to get into at first.
