4.5 stars.
A fun YA mystery/thriller and a great debut novel. I had a good time with this one and really liked the audiobook.
The protagonist is fun and smart and I quite liked her. The majority of the story felt believable and the tension was pretty well managed throughout the story. I did guess the majority of the ending pretty early on in the book, but there were a lot of red herrings that had me mildly questioning my assumptions. 4.5 stars rounded down. I really liked this and flew through it! Even from the first chapter I was completely sucked in and found it hard to put the book down any time after. This is a fantastic book. I listened to it and the narration was excellent. I loved the different formats of the chapters and it was interesting to see the case coming together.
I loved Pip and how sweet and cute she was. The family was wonderful, they felt like proper characters which doesn’t always happen with young adult books.
I guessed part of the ending but there were so many twists and turns! That hour at the end just flew by. Loved it!
