I thought his was pretty good overall. While it did drag in the first half or so, I was OK with that. I liked how the friends had an annual trip to a cottage in Maine and I loved the setting.

Wyn and Harriet have recently broken up, but for whatever reason they didn't tell their good friends prior to their annual trip. So, as luck and their good friends would have it, they gave them the biggest bedroom. That, in my opinion, set up the foreshadowing for what would eventually happen.

Emily Henry has a formula to her rom coms and does it well! She def makes your believe in her relationships and easily has you falling in love with them. Wyn and Harriet are the perfect couple and part of a best friend group that they haven't told that they had broken up months ago. On their annual trip, to avoid ruining the week of their friends, they decide to fake it and tell their friends at the end of their trip! But we clearly all know there is still love there. I didn’t dislike this book as much as I thought I would but it certainly wasn’t my favorite. First of all I LOVE the romance genre. I just didn’t feel like this book did it for me. Wyn was the most boring character omg. Cleo, Sabrina and Harriet may have been “for lifers” but they really weren’t acting like it. Maybe I didn’t have enough backstory or maybe it was just really rushed, but I didn’t connect to any character nor was this a book I was itching to finish. I enjoyed it enough, but certai ...more
