This was such a fun read! This was actually my first book by this author, so I didn't know that it was a spin-off to another one of her series until I was half-way through. I am one of those people who enjoy reading books in order, so that was a little disappointing to find out. However, I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters. I liked the plot. This is not my usual genre but I adored this book and these characters. I do wish I had known it was a spinoff so I could have read the original series first. I was buddy reading this for a challenge and I was already a good portion into the book before I found out. It still didn’t take away from the story I don’t think I was spoiled on a lot for the Cursebreaker series either. That’s up as soon as I can get to it. I mostly did the audio on this and it was three separate narrators and ...more

This was a fun audio! I really like Kemmerer’s style and the way the majority of the book is traditional fiction and character building with a sprinkle of the magical world.
I really we enjoyed all of the MC’s and you know your girl loves a multi-POV. I’m looking forward to the next one.
