A standard Agatha Christie mystery,
Murder on the Orient Express
revolves around.. you guessed, a murder on the Orient Express. But have no fear, esteemed detective Hercule Poirot is abroad the train and takes it upon himself to solve the murder!

"The impossible could not have happened, therefore the impossible must be possible in spite of appearances."
Though I was curious about the mystery from the beginning, this did take a while to finally grip me. A very good mystery and a large portion of the story is interviews of Poirot and the passengers on the train, which was neat. The conclusion was excellent. ...more

Mielenkiintoinen kirja, joka pitää otteessaan loppuun asti. Sitä jää miettimään kuka murhan teki ja miten, sitä epäilee kaikkia ja kaikenlaisia loppuratkaisuja. Melkein aloin itsekin kirjaamaan tapahtumien kellonaikoja ja kuka näki mitä näki ja näin. En hirveästi ole lukenut Christietä mutta varmasti luen jatkossakin muita.

First Agatha Christie novel and it didn't disappoint. I enjoyed Hercule and seeing how the pieces fit together. I didn't expect the ending. Interesting read. I will have to check out more of the series and maybe start from the beginning.

I feel as though this would have been a favorite Agatha Christie of mine if it weren't for the fact that I already knew what was going to happen. Give me 5 years or so to forget the plot and I'll reread this and probably enjoy it a lot more.
