I liked the ending and it definitely made me excited about picking up book two especially as I hear that the series gets better and better with each book.
I love a good YA mystery. I think they are usually neatly packaged and wrap up nicely. This one felt like the Inheritance Games mysteries with the riddles. I liked that there was representation in this book although it was a little quick and one offed. I liked that the characters were "weirdos" who banned together. I remebered a lot from my first read but everything was in a different place than I expected it to be. So it was interesting.
Overall I have to say this book was a little boring. I loved the beginning with Dottie and storyline in 1936 but these chapters were short and there wasn't many of them. On the other side, there is Stevie's storyline. It drags a lot! It takes forever for something to happen and when something finally did happen, it didn't change much. Plus romance came out of nowhere!

They included brilliant students from poor backgrounds as well as the children from rich and powerful families.
