What Members Thought

This was the first book I've read of poetry and I really really enjoyed it. I'm glad I picked it up. It was like every poem was on a different level and they all had so many layers of meaning. This may have been the first but it most definitely won't be the last. I could connect with so many of the poems. It was like they were writing about my own thoughts and feelings. I can't wait to go out and choose the next one I read.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. This is such a powerful book I am just speechless. Definitely worth the read I am telling you. This was so touching, so anger-indicting, so emotional on so many levels. You truly are on a roller coaster with this book. Don’t wait another minute, sit down, and get ready to get emo!

I typically don’t read poetry. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I picked up a poetry book - possibly in University, about 15 years ago. But this book captured my interest and I ordered a copy, eager to try something new. Milk And Honey delivered what I expected: dozens of poems that were both heartfelt and raw, at once heartbreaking and thoroughly hopeful.
