I am a scary cat. Like a HUGE one. I will not touch any book that is tagged horror. However, I did not know that this was a horror book when I got it. I just thought the cover was pretty. Which it is. I just wasn't expecting those creepy words to be written inside such a beautiful cover.

V. E. Schwab is a beautiful writer with an incredible imagination!! I loved this book! It was a quick read with a ghost story feel to it, filled with mystery and intrigue.
It follows the story of Olivia, who is an orphan who can not speak but can see ghosts and was abandoned by her mother as a baby at a school for girls. She was left only with a journal that was filled with the, seemingly, random gibberish of a woman gone mad until a letter arrived at the orphanage from a long-lost uncle summoni ...more
