"It was not her fault he had liked her.
It was not her fault she was cyborg.
She would not apologize."
Four Stars!
Cinder starts out with Cinder pulling her freaking foot off. What a way to start a book? We are then quickly introduced to Prince Kai, and then shortly after that are introduced to Cinder's shitty family. (Peony was aight, her name sucks though.)

Cinder

After being tasked by Prince Kai to fix his Android servant, Cinder is eager to keep him from finding out she's a cyborg. I loved this book just as much the second time as I did the first time I read it I am looking forward to reading more and finally finishing the series. I really loved the characters especially Cinder and Kai I hope their relationship goes somewhere later in the series. What I really liked about Cinder was no nonsense attitude and how much she cares for the people close to her. There are so many interesting characters in this story I am looking forward to rediscovering them. I really liked the pl

This is my second time reading this, almost two years after my first read-through. Maybe because it had been my first time reading Cinder back then and was completely caught up with its fast pace, but this time, I realized how this book was more show rather than tell. Like how every bombshell/revelation that was dropped in the story was simply told to Cinder. From Dr. Erland and that girl in that Lunar ambassador's care. She's the main character, but I feel that she was generally passive in her

This was so good! I can’t wait to read the next book. I always enjoy a good retelling and this one was great. I was hooked into the story even if the plot twist was predictable and a little cliché. I loved Cinder and Iko, but it was really annoying and sad whenever her stepmother or stepsister treated her badly. The ending was good and it left me wanting to read the rest of the series. I’m interested to see how Cinder and the story will grow from here.

It was good. I liked it and enjoyed reading Cinder because for me, the whole thing was quite easy to read.
It was well-written in terms of prose and all similar things, which is one of the main reasons why I enjoyed this as much as I did though I did feel like the descriptions weren't enough. Like how New Beijing works and what it looks like because we've really only just seen the market. And I didn't really think that I'd get everything just from the first book but the humans didn't seem to know ...more

I really liked it! My only complaint is that it could have been longer but it's in a series so yay! I love sci fi, fantasy, fairy tales, etc so this book combining all these elements was perfect for me. Also, the pacing was good, the characters/setting/worldbuilding felt realistic, and it left me wanting to continue the series.

Can't believe I waited so long to read this! Super easy, super fast, super entertaining read! Can't wait for book two. I loved the sci-fi aspect of this book and I really enjoyed the main character and her spunky sidekick, Iko. Purchased a copy to sit on my shelf!!
