Someone I follow wrote that this was like Greek Mythology meets the Hunger Games and I honestly can't think of a better way to describe it. Alexandra Bracken outdid herself with this one! It was so good, never really a dull moment and packed full of action.

After listening to an audiobook, do you ever feel like you need to re-read the book in another format to fully immerse yourself into the story? Because that's how I feel right now. Like I missed the potential for discovering a new favorite book. I thought for sure I would be into it from the very beginning but I kept listening (and wasn't even really distracted) but it never managed to hook me like I wanted it to. I am never disappointed by anything she writes I loved everything about this book there was never a dull moment I was on the edge of my seat from the very beginning. I really loved all of the characters but I loved Lore and Castor most of all they fit so well together the kind of pairing you really root for. I cannot believe that I waited so long to read this because I loved every single moment of this book. I loved all of the characters, the references to greek mythology, the action, and oh boy, there are some major twists in this story, so be prepared to be shocked. The author did an amazing job of creating this secret society that has existed in the "real world" and making it believable. And even better, it all came in a standalone.
