This book deserves all 5 stars! I absolutely loved Illuminae and went into this book thinking it was going to be hard to top the first book..... but then I ended up basically reading this entire book in one sitting.... It was that good!! I was a little thrown off at first because I fell in love with Kady/Ezra and I was a little disappointed when I realized that this book was actually going to focus on different characters. However I was immediately hooked by all of the new characters and the new

This was an amazing read. I did feel like this book was not as great as the first book, but I still loved it as well. This book is another one of my new all-time favourites. The characters were my favourite part of the book. I thought they were well-developed and enjoyable. Also, I loved Nik, he is my new book boyfriend. The beginning of the story had me hooked. I enjoyed the action, and the fact that the female characters were badass really cemented my opinion of their charact ...more

Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.
The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.
Hanna is the station captain’s p

Wow. That's it, that's all I'm able to properly articulate after listening to this roller-coaster of a book. First, I can't wait to read/listen to the third and final book in this series. Second, I think I may need to go back and listen to the audiobook of the first one because this was an amazing production. I WISH this series could be adapted in some way, but I just don't think it's possible. I think these audiobooks are the best adaptations we can hope for and honestly, I'm kinda okay with th

This series is astonishingly impressive and utterly addictive.
After having loved Illuminae my greatest fear was that Gemina could not have been a worthy sequel. Well, that was not the case. AT ALL.
Gemina was a mind-blowing, jaw-dropping journey as much as its predecessor. Even more (in some ways*) if possible.

I love the format of these books!
The graphic and interactive nature of the writing is amazing. I liked seeing the journal entries, how the pages become more and more chaotic as the battles ensue and the wormhole is collapsing.
So this book takes place just after the events of book 1. A team of mercenaries are set to wipe out Space station Heimdall
