It's been three years since Citra, Rowan and Endora sank. In that time, Goddard has basically taken over the mid-American Scythe-dom. And all of humanity has been deemed unsavory except for Grayson Tolliver. When Citra and Rowan are revived, Citra is slowly rehabilitated in safety and Rowan is kept a prisoner. Grayson has hidden himself with the Tonists and he begins to make his presence known to the public.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. I can't even with this book. I was so excited to read it, the culmination of this awesome trilogy. I couldn't imagine what they could do after then end of the Thunderhead book, but what a satisfying tale !! I"m glad it was huge, because it needed to be, to get everything in there. Scythe Goddard !! grrrrrrrrrr !! I wouldn't mind a spin-off series (there could be a few !!!) ...more

So my expectations for this book were sky high. Both of the previous books in the series were 5 star reads for me so maybe I was expecting just a little bit too much.
I obviously really enjoyed this book but for me it was just a little too long and meandering.
