This is an excellent book. While beeing a YA novel, it never gives you the feeling of patronizing or moralizing ( something YA literature does too often).
The characters are very fascinating, enjoyable and all a bit crazy. I was a tiny bit disappointed cause some lesser charcters were superficial, but that probably can’t be avoided.
The well written story is about a lot of little things and about some major themes, but kept me wanting to read on. Recommended for fans YA.

Going away to college isn't easy and for Cath it really isn't easy. Her twin sister didn't want to room with her and her roommate always has a boy around which leaves Cath feeling uncomfortable and very alone, so she dives in deeper into fanfiction as a way to help cope with all the new changes in her life.

Čtení Fangirl jsem hodně dlouho odkládala, protože jsem na ni slyšela samou chválu a bála jsem se, že tuto knížku díky tomu budu mít moc vélké očekávání a budu zklamaná. Jsem ráda, že jsem se do ní nakonec pustila, protože ty pochvalné recenze, které jsem na ničetla a ódy, které jsem slyšela, jsou pravdivé. Tahle knížka se čte sama! Is it too late to jump on the bandwagon that is rainbow rowell? No? ok good, cause I want to jump on this bandwagon and never get off it! I had trepidation reading Fangirl after having previously read Carry On (not because I didnt like it, but because it was out of order). But luckily the books held their own.
Rainbow Rowell once again stole my heart with her writing. While realistically constructing relationships and describing with a gut wrenching yet inexplicably accurate description of new feelings between a boy and a girl. I listened to the audio version of this book and really liked it. The characters were well-developed and I really enjoyed to plot and how the relationships were built among the various characters.

Gah, this book was just so much fun! I was a total fan girl in my teens, and this just reminded me of how fun fanfiction can be! A light, fluffy, fun book - perfect for a relaxing, chilled read.
