Well this did not go any way that I expected that’s for sure. Aside from the crazy, fast paced, explosive, mind melting end I really enjoyed the book. The MC role sorta shifted to Ringer in this book and I’m not mad about it. Trained badass extraordinaire Ringer is the last person who’ll work for or with the aliens. Of course nothing seems to deter these alien beings, so they have to resort to more wild and cruel methods to get to their end game. I liked that everything build up and has you conc

This one was actually so boring. Nothing happened. The 5th Wave was so action-packed and adventurous, and then this was really boring. I do like the way Yancey swaps words around though, the way he plays with the language and uses lots of detail and adjectives. Keeps me thinking. I like the multiple POV, and also the way (view spoiler) I like how Ringer played such a big part in this, and so much of the book was fr

This book was interesting... BUT It totally suffered from middle book syndrome. Not so much as in there's no action, but as "What the hell is happening and where is this going" kind of way. I was seriously confused about the overall progression as a series while I read this. Maybe alien invasion isn't my thing, but I think it was more about how this was written out. I am still quite confused as to what is happening/what is going to happen/why things are happening and I'm 20% into the third book!

If you don't want to spoil your good opinion about the first book of this series, than don't pick up this one, let it lay untouched. For it has nothing to keep you going.
(view spoiler) Evan's saved her life, twice, and still she's rude to him, shouts at him. And Evan like an idiot, a puppy. I really didn't like this part at all.
The story takes over two places - a hotel and an alien's base. From the beginning they have a plan (which I didn't figure out - the ...more

From the first time I read the first book, I had a feeling that this book would be awesome. I watched the movie first. But it feels like both the movie and the book are two different stories. I didn't find "Cassie" in the book when I saw the movie.
But movie aside, I adore this book sooo much. I love the characters. I love Cassie, I love Evan, I love Ben.

Loved the ending, although that prolonged Ringer section started to drag a little
