So it all began with vintage snapshots??!! Really?! That's-That's IMPRESSIVE!!! I mean it!

Okay, I think I'm not the only one who thought this book is a horror story, because it's not. Well, the prologue and the first chapter did give a nightmarish vibe to me (I even cried lol), but it stopped there. I mean, the following chapters are not as terrifying. And I think the plot pretty much dragged. Why did Riggs think I need to read 3 pages of Jacob opening the trunk? Come on! That's to much. And you ...more

So, I just finished the book and watched both of the movie trailers...
The book was okay. It was a fun light read. It's not thrilling, magical, spooky, or anything in between. Let alone scary. Don't make me laugh by saying that it's scary.... even reddit creepypastas are scarier than this.

It's just okay. The characters are also okay. No one really stands out despite of the peculiarities they have. The story itself develop into something that I'd say kinda risky. *cou ...more

Never ever judge a book by its cover! I'm deceived totally this time.
Lihat saja sendiri cover bukunya, gadis kecil dengan tatapan kosong mengambang di udara. Tentu saja awalnya aku berpikir jika ini buku thriller/horror yang akan membuatku sulit tidur di waktu malam.

I'm not saying it's a terrible book. In contrary, it's a good book for fantasy young adult genre. Aku hanya sedikit kecewa karena aku kira ini buku horror. Ya bisa dibilang ini salahku sendiri karena langsung kepincut covernya >.<
