I loved this book! It was the perfect Sping/Summer read. I previously read Amy & Roger's Epic Detour and enjoyed that one so much that I had predicted I'd love this one as well. This entire book takes place over a summer break and gives you a summer vibe the whole way through.
I really enjoyed the cast of characters we had. This is a book about friendship at its core. The friendship between Emily and Sloane, and the friendships Emily is building in Sloane's absence, take center stage. They are re ...more

I loved everything about this book! <3
The main character is so relatable to me, and I highly enjoyed going on this journey with her. I absolutely loved the friendship aspect, along with self-discovery and even some romance.
It was a blast going through the list with Emily and reading about her defining experiences and moments. I truly felt like I was her friend!

E qual a maneira mais fácil do ...more

This book... I LOVED this book. I was smiling the entire time I was reading it. It was just so cute and exactly what I was in the mood to read. I absolutely loved all of the characters, and being an introvert constantly surrounded by extroverts I related to Emily's character 100%. I felt like this book was made for me. I just absolutely loved how Emily went from being a girl who could barely hold eye contact with people to being a girl that suggests skinny dipping and hugs random people in gas s

For the first hundred pages of the book, I was not enjoying it as much as I thought I should. Emily's character really irked me, mostly because it didn't feel like she had a character outside of her best friend Sloane. It also really bothered me how much Emily avoided life and I think that bothered me because it reminded me a lot of myself. I had a lot of the same issues that Emily was going through and in the long run, that was why I really enjoyed this book. Emily blossomed into a great charac

I’ll admit that when I first picked up this book, I was skeptical about whether or not I would like it because some of Morgan Matson’s books have been pretty hit-or-miss with me. However, Since You’ve Been Gone has changed my mind – I LOVED IT!
At first I struggled to get into it because I was going through a minor reading slump when I started it, but once I got past the 100-page mark I flew through it! I loved the concept of ...more

Feel good book. A bit of a slow start and Emily annoyed me slightly, only because she was so awkward and shy (which is pretty accurate for a lot of teenagers, so i got it) still annoyed me a bit.
The only thing I didn't love was finding out the fact that Sloane left, it was kind of lame. If I had a friend for 2 years that I hung out with everyday I wouldn't just leave without saying goodbye just because I was scared. Her reason was basically counter-productive.
