I really enjoyed this book. It was dark and atmospheric, yet still enjoyable. The only reason I didn't rate this book any higher is that it was rather slow in the beginning, but I have high, high hopes for the next books in the series. ...more

It took me until about halfway through this book to get the grove of it down. I was having a really hard time in the start of the book keeping straight whose preservative we were reading from.
Once we got through that point though it got a lot better. I really enjoyed the plot of this book. I have read other reviews that think it is too slow or too vague, but that what I really liked. The plot wasn't spoon fed to you and it gave a great amount of time to build.

This was very interesting and different.
The first half of the book was rather slow and I didn't enjoy it that much. But fortunately it got better.
I won't continue on with this series though. The more I thought about this book, the less impressed I was. I don't really care about any of the characters. ...more
