Just finished rereading The Raven Boys and I'm definitely keeping my 5 star rating for the book because IT WAS STILL SO AMAZING! Now, finally on to The Dream Thieves!!!

This book. THIS BOOK.
The mood was perfect. The pacing was perfect. I loved the characters. Honestly they felt like the marauders to me which made me love them MO R E. The plot is so interesting. The writing is poetic. This was a 4.5 book for me, but I contemplated giving it 4 stars because I think the series has room to grow (and from what I hear it does). I had high expectations for this, because of the raving reviews. And it was not what I expected, but it was a different kind of good than I expected.

Mysterious, atmospheric, and absolutely addictive

This was a 4.5 book for me, but I'm giving it 4 stars because I think the series has room to grow (and from what I hear it does). I had high expectations for this, because of the raving reviews. And it was not what I expected, but it was a different kind of good then I expected.

I'm disappointed in this one. I've been looking forward to reading it for a while, and since I knew I wouldn't have time, I grabbed it on audiobook from the library.

I don't want to make this a long a review since everyone has pretty much read this, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who didn't enjoy it :x

Ok so I'm pretty torn right now on this book and whether to continue on with the series.

I'd heard so many glowing reviews, and don't get me wrong, I can see why people enjoyed it. It was well written, but the style was one I found hard to get into. The premise was also unique (the ley lines part - not the 'if you kiss your true love he will die' part *eyerolls*) and there were a good cast of characters, but none that I felt particularly invested in.
