I remember reading this one as a kid and enjoying it. How well the text has aged since? Not really tempted to try. I guess my tolerance for Crichton's writing is down there with my tolerance for Dan Brown. Some ok ideas, but sensationalist in the extreme. Oops, Dan Brown has no ok ideas so I guess Crichton does have that going for him! :)

Wow. Finally a book that I literally can't put down because it's so gripping. I've seen the movie a couple of times and enjoyed it a lot but the book was even better, especially once I got past the first 100 pages. It was both scary, exciting and funny and Ian Malcom's monologues had some thought provoking points. Have to say though, Hammond isn't nearly as likeable in the book as he is in the movie, particularly towards the end!
