I went in to this hearing that this was the best Koontz book ever. Of his books I have read, I would not say that this was my favorite (maybe not even in the top 5) - but it was still pretty good.
The following may get me "booed" by some, but I am not really a dog person and Koontz often has a golden retriever as a main character. This was a slow build for me, but once I got to about a quarter of the way through, I was completely hooked. Even though I am more of a cat person than a dog person, I'm a sucker for good animal stories, cat or dog. And if I were to have a dog, Einstein would definitely be on the list of dogs I would want! Although Nora and Travis have lived their lives hiding from the world, they end up finding each other with the help of Einstein, and I just enjoyed their love story. I haven't read an ...more
