Astoundingly beautiful prose, a self-aware psychotic narrator who is both unapologetic and yet disgusted by his crime...so many themes in this book, so much symmetry (342).

Humbert Humbert knows he is both brilliant and insanely obsessed with pre-pubescent girls. He tortures his psychiatrists "cunningly leading them on; never letting them see [he] knew every trick of the trade" (P. 34). Scarlett Readz and Runz....Through Novel Time & Distance
Surely you have heard of Lolita before. I know I have, I just never have taken the time to read it nor watch the film. When the chance came up for a group read, I decided to go for it.

I have never studied this novel as required reading or such, so all of it was new to me. My thoughts on Lolita will be very brief here, although I could have much to say about it, but will refrain.
